Nicola Peltz, did you time travel to the red carpet? The actor and model recently attended The Hollywood Reporter‘s Women In Entertainment Gala in a look that could would have been right at home in the 2000s but looks equally on-trend today.

Instead of her usual gown, Peltz slipped into a black satin Tom Ford suit with knee-length pants, under which she wore sheer black tights and a pair of black platform peep-toe heels. The star kept the monochromatic vibes going with her deep chocolate brown hair color, which she wore straight and pulled back over her shoulders, kept in place by a thick black headband that wrapped all the way around her head — strikingly similar to one I wore to school in the ’00s and now use to wash my face, but, you know, chic.

The headband wasn’t the only throwback trend Peltz incorporated into her red carpet look. She worked with celebrity manicurist Tom Bachik, who also paints the nails of Jennifer Lopez and Selena Gomez, on a long, sculpted set of flawless French manicured nails. Bachik used the shades French White and Fairy Wings from Aprés Nail to shape the classic look, plus a custom Gel X extension to get that long, rounded square tip. (What a great base for that giant diamond engagement ring, right?)
