Theft: Orchard Park Drive
At 5:45 p.m. March 30, a resident reported the theft of a laptop computer from an unlocked car that had been parked in the driveway overnight.
Theft: Erie Drive
At 2:30 p.m. March 28, a resident reported the theft of a package delivered by Federal Express.
Fraud
At 6:40 p.m. March 29, a resident reported that someone had used his Social Security number to file a tax return.
Theft: Center Ridge Road
At 1:30 p.m. March 31, a Walgreens employee reported that a man had left the store without paying for several cosmetics. Officers identified the man as someone who had previously been banned from the store.
Complaints were signed for theft and trespass charges. Warrants are pending.
Theft
On April 1, a woman reported that Apple AirPods she had lost the week before in Avon were “pinging” at an address on Mitchell Avenue.
Officers went to the home and retrieved the AirPods from a resident, who reported that she had found them in a parking lot in Avon. The AirPods were returned to their owner and no charges were filed.
Fraud: Center Ridge Road
At 8:50 a.m. April 2, a resident reported that unauthorized purchases on her credit card were made at Uber, Uber Eats and DoorDash totaling just over $2,200. The woman suspects a former visitor.
