This is often confused with vintage jewellery and has become increasingly popular recently. The reason for this is because of the concerns regarding global warming. Moreover, there are slight differences between antique jewellery to vintage jewellery. Antique jewellery is either 100 years or older whilst vintage jewellery is anything less than 100 years.

Temple Jewellery

Temple jewellery is usually made from white rhinestones and pearls although it can consist of other precious stones as well. Temple jewellery can consist of many jewellery pieces such as bracelets, earrings, nose pins, and necklaces. 

Bead Jewellery

Bead jewellery is another type of jewellery and falls under the category of costume/ fashion jewellery. These are made out of beads that are different sizes or have a variety of patterns on them. 

Beaded jewellery will be held together by a thin piece of string that will go through the holes of the beads. Furthermore, beaded jewellery doesn’t have to consist of beads. It can also include balls of plastic, wood, glass, pearls and some metals. 

Bridal Jewellery

Up next is bridal jewellery and this is worn by women during their marriages. Many religious communities still wear bridal jewellery at their weddings although it is less common than it once was. 

Although the majority of the brides wear gold or platinum necklaces. Other communities in the world choose to wear larger or regal pieces of jewellery instead. Brides will be dressed in jewellery from top to bottom. 

Fashion Jewellery 

Up next, we have fashion jewellery which has been the most common piece of jewellery for the younger generation in the 21st century. These types of pieces are worn with a more casual outfit however, they can be layered with other pieces of jewellery such as art deco engagement rings. Additionally, these are great for layering as this is a common trend in 2022. People would wear multiple rings with the main ring which is considered fine jewellery.
