Best Yeti Cooler Sale | Here’s Where to Get the Hottest Deals
We’ve got you covered with the BEST tips for finding YETI cooler sales and top-rated, affordable lookalikes!
Despite hearing wonderful things about YETI coolers over the years, I still haven’t been initiated as a member of the YETI fan club because they are Pricey with a capital “P.” Until now, my regular, cheap-o coolers have worked well enough that I couldn’t justify spending my money on a luxury purchase like that.
However, I’ve started seriously trying to reduce my waste (especially plastics!) and invest in things I know will last, and I’m sure many of you guys are in the same boat. Luckily, there are a few methods for scoring the famous, long-lasting YETI coolers on sale, as well as some pretty top-notch dupes for a fraction of the price!
While supplies last, you can hurry over to YETI.com where you can score 20% off Hard and Soft Coolers in their newest color Nordic Purple! Even better, when you spend $200 you’ll receive a free 14oz Rambler Mug with your purchase!

Score this YETI Cooler sale for a limited time!
When it comes to YETI cooler sales, you gotta know when to look!
The months between May and December are your best bet for finding YETI coolers on sale at authorized retailers. Keep your eyes peeled in stores like Dick’s Sporting Goods and REI for occasional sales during those months.
You can also check Amazon for sales, but just remember to make sure you’re purchasing from an authorized seller. If you want to be 100% certain you’re getting the real deal, show an official seller the Amazon sale price and see if they’ll match it!
Hip Tip: Use the YETI website’s store locator to see any retailers near you and then call to see if they’ll give you any YETI cooler sale info!
Speaking of authorized retailers, eBay is one of them!
eBay is a perfectly legitimate place to order YETI coolers online, and sometimes you can snag great deals! Keep a lookout for eBay coupon codes to see if any can apply to YETI purchases.
Even better, sometimes you can score eBay-exclusive deals and promos, so always be on the lookout for those.
Know your price point during the YETI cooler sales.
We’d love to say that you can score YETI coolers for 50% off and more, and while that’s not impossible… it’s certainly unlikely. YETI is very selective about where they sell their products and rarely offer huge discounts, so if you see something close to the 30% off range, snag it right away!
Hip Tip: Since YETI is so strict about their pricing, be wary of any sale that seems too good to be true. It probably is & you may be dealing with a lower-quality imitation.
Military members (and more) can score generous discounts!
YETI gives a sweet 20% off deal to active or retired members of the military, first responders, government officials, and more! You can check to see if you’re eligible for the discount on the YETI website.
Note: This discount can’t be combined with other sale offers.
If you can’t find something on sale, at least get the best value!
Buying a larger YETI cooler will naturally be pricier overall, BUT it’s actually cheaper per quart to go with the bigger coolers. For example, the YETI Roadie 24 has a 24-quart capacity and costs $250, making it about $10.42 per quart. Meanwhile, the YETI Tundra 65 has a 65-quart capacity and costs $375, which comes out to about $5.77 per quart.
If you have a little extra saved up, it’s actually a better bet to go with the biggest cooler that fits your needs!
However, even after YETI cooler sale discounts, they may just not be in the budget — we totally get it, and there’s no need to worry! We have some top-notch alternatives that won’t break the bank.
These are some sturdy YETI lookalikes that will last you a long time without the YETI price tag:
The RTIC Ultra-Light 52 QT Cooler keeps ice cold for days at a fraction of the price!
Not only are RTIC coolers almost half the price of YETI coolers, but they also feature more frequent deals, so you can score a serious discount if you check back frequently!
RTIC coolers consistently have great reviews and are one of the best YETI dupes on the market, often holding ice just as well as their pricier counterparts.
Here’s what one reviewer said about their RTIC 52 Qt cooler:
“We used this over a four-day period of outdoor camping. Temps were in the 70s with one day in the 80s. We kept it in shade with a wool blanket covering the top. It was as cold on the fourth day as it was on the first day. Very impressed. I have no doubt it’ll hold up in warmer weather as well.”
Love the YETI style? This rugged Tourit Leak-Proof Cooler looks nearly identical!
While hard coolers are great for multi-day camping trips, I personally love backpack coolers because they’re way less bulky and I find them much easier to carry while backpacking or during day hikes.
The Tourit Cooler can stand up to YETI when it comes to function and style and, unlike its pricier counterpart, has extra side-storage compartments for extra accessories.
Here’s what one reviewer said about their Tourit cooler:
“This is an excellent cooler backpack. I was going to purchase the smaller but comparable backpack by YETI until I noticed the increased size and lower price of the Tourit. I have several Yeti products and was skeptical about purchasing any other brand, but the Tourit backpack exceeded my expectations. It keeps drinks and food cool and is very easy to carry on your back or by the top strap. I strongly recommend this backpack if you are considering the purchase of the smaller, comparable pack made by YETI!”
My Hip teammate, Lina, recently bought this cooler at a friend’s recommendation, and we can totally see why! It comes with a 5-year warranty, fits up to 60 cans, and can hold ice for up to 7 days–pretty much on par with other coolers that cost three times as much.
While Lina just got her Lifetime cooler and hasn’t had a chance to use it yet, it has plenty of other rave reviews!
Here’s what one buyer says about their Lifetime 55-Quart Cooler:
“I find this cooler to be very worth the price. The storage capacity that it has is bigger than it looks in the pictures. The handles are comfortable and well-designed, and the seal and shutting mechanism work better on this cooler than any cooler we’ve ever owned (and we’ve had at least 6 different kinds). The seal is air-tight which makes such a difference in maintaining temperature. Overall, definitely 5 stars. It’s a well-designed, high-quality cooler that performs as promised.”
Hip Tip: Lina also recommends using large ice packs at the bottom of the cooler to make ice last longer!
Need something smaller? The Igloo BMX 25qt Cooler is the perfect YETI Roadie lookalike!
Like the pricey YETI, this Igloo cooler is well-built enough to keep ice cold for 4+ days but is small enough to throw in the backseat when you’re on the go. Although it features a blow-molded construction (as opposed to the generally higher-end roto-molding), it’s also made with UV inhibitors, a reinforced base, and an insulated lid to keep the heat out & keep your drinks cold!
Here’s what one reviewer said about their Igloo BMX Cooler:
“Wow, I have to say this cooler is a great buy for anyone fishing, camping, working, beach days, tailgating, you name it! It keeps all my drinks cold and retained ice for 3 days, even in a hot truck. The heat did not phase this cooler & it kept the drinks cold. A must-have and a great buy all around! You will love how light it is too!”
